Meet Jen & her incomparable experience

Jen Pham is a steadfast advocate for innovative learning and educational equality. Her unwavering commitment to addressing educational disparities, particularly the achievement gap, and her passion for fostering educational access for all students has been a driving force in her extensive career. Rooted in the principles of hard work, accountability, and lifelong curiosity, Jen's professional and personal journey is marked by a series of impactful roles and remarkable accomplishments.

As the Owner and Founder of Learning with Jen, Jen has dedicated over two decades to building post-secondary pathways. Her services include tutoring, school governance, educational consulting, and counseling for college admissions. Under her guidance, Learning with Jen has built a solid reputation for achieving consistent and documented academic improvements. Jen's approach transcends traditional tutor-student relationships by actively collaborating with educators and parents to create customized and conducive learning environments. Her innovative efforts have led to the development of a community-based initiative promoting a college-going culture in the Inland Empire, focusing on individual counseling for first-generation and underrepresented students. She also serves on the national board of college admissions ethics committee.

Jen played a crucial role in coordinating and elevating a program that awarded over $80,000 in scholarships annually to local high school seniors, recognizing their character, love of learning, commitment to academics, as well as their participation in athletics, school activities, community service, and their ability to persevere and overcome difficult life circumstances. Her work embodies the organization's mission statement, which emphasizes recognizing students while honoring values such as God, Country, Family, Community, and Free Enterprise.

In her role as Chairman of several school boards, Jen led a team of seven trustees overseeing one of the largest charter schools in the nation. She ensured the school's mission-guided decision-making and actively participated in setting the district's vision and goals, adopting policies, hiring and evaluating the superintendent, approving budgets, contracts, and curriculum, advocating for school choices, and contributing to the team seeking charter school accountability.

Jen was awarded the highest honor from the White House, the Presidential Lifetime Achievement- Volunteer Service Award, in recognition of her philanthropic efforts and her remarkable accomplishment of volunteering over 5,000 significant hours. Jen has also been honored as one of Southwest Riverside County's "40 under 40" by the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce, recognizing her outstanding achievements, professional accolades, and significant impact on the community. 

Jen's extensive professional journey and unwavering dedication to education and community development make her a prominent figure in the fields of education and leadership. Her commitment to addressing educational disparities and passion for fostering opportunities for all students have left an indelible mark on her community and beyond.

Personally, Jen is a mom of three young kids who was widowed by her beloved high school sweetheart.  From volunteering with the PTSA to the taxpayer oversight committee to helping high school seniors with their capstone interviews, her commitment to the community spans from directing a camp for children with special needs to recently being a state-certified foster mom.  Jen believes in creating access to high-quality educational opportunities outside of her home community of the Inland Empire Region of Riverside County, and she spent many summers in urban Los Angeles, where she used to help at-risk students apply to colleges. Jen also serves as a trustee for the local cemetery. She leads the local young widows’ support group and is a peer mentor to widows of heroes.
